Focus Is Essential!

Focus Is Essential!

Focus is essential! Without focus we could be going around in circles. I don’t know if that applies to you, but I do know that it applies to me. It is vital in business to concentrate on where our focus is on a daily basis. In this rapidly changing world that is spinning in all directions, attention to our needs on a daily basis is so important. Otherwise, we might find ourselves drifting into underachievement!

Garden Of The Mind

Garden Of The Mind

Garden Of The Mind. What goes on in your mind? What are your dominant thoughts? I ask this because our mind dominates everything we do in life. Planting thoughts is the same as planting seeds, and if our thinking is negative in any way, then the result might simply reflect those thoughts and interrupt our hopeful journey for success in the future. Therefore, being positive in everything we do is the key. I’ve heard it said that as we sow, so shall we reap, or words to that effect.

Think About It!

Think About It

Think About It! Thinking is something available to most if not all of us. How we go about that consciously is worth taking note of in order to achieve positively what we would like to accomplish. It takes constructive attention to put in our minds what is worth considering with the aim being a satisfying outcome. Keeping on track requires a focussed mind so that side-tracking is not allowed to interfere with our chosen direction.

Goal Getting!

Goal Getting!

Goal Getting! The World Cup is well on the way, and I refer to football, the round ball game! Goals are being scored and games are being won and lost. That’s the nature of the game, and all teams have come from different countries – 32 in fact! The preparation has been tremendous and already surprising results have emerged. Why I mention this is because goals have a better chance of success when written down: set yours in order to get!

The preparation has been vitally important for achieving a positive result and there is no guarantee that the favourite team is destined to win. This applies to us all if individually we are hoping to reach a positive result in our own life. However, being goal oriented is the key to success and arriving at a positive, planned destination.

Planning is essential and avoiding contact with negative people should go without saying. Dreaming about achievement is a good starting point, but without affirmative action, nothing will change. Set your plans in action and get the aid of a COACH if getting and staying on track is understood and appreciated. Make sure however that the goals are yours alone, and not the suggestions of somebody deciding what is best for you. Belief has to be within your compass so that you get on track and don’t waver from it. Once you’ve decided where you want to go or what you want to have and written the information down in your own language, the next step is to plan your actions for achievement. Otherwise, you could be like a ship adrift in the ocean without a specific destination. A true goal will cause you to feel passionate and eager for its fulfillment. The satisfaction in achieving a result will cause you to acknowledge and realise the value of staying true to yourself and prove to you the benefit of preparation, taking positive action and being able to enjoy a worthwhile outcome.

There are many end products to people’s wishing and wanting. Make sure that the wording is specific to your desired result. Goals can be in many areas, from earning more, losing, or even gaining weight, getting in better shape, improving relationships and so on. Understanding that Rome wasn’t built in a day should alert you to the fact that time is a factor and patience is a virtue! Know where you’re going, understand the possible pitfalls and, above all, stay true to yourself! Claim ownership of what you have written down and set a realistic time for completion. Inspiration needs to come from within in order to stay on track. In your heart you will know if what you are striving for is realistic rather than wishful thinking. I’m not suggesting that you mustn’t think big, simply that results can be yours if you carefully work out your purposeful direction and remain true to yourself.

Goal setting works, and the eventual winners of the World Cup will be a team that has passionately planned, stayed true to teammates and direction, listened to their coach and can lift the cup in glorious satisfaction.

Go get yours! Cheers,

John Mulvey

Birthright!

Birthright!

Birthright! This is not exclusively for the privileged on our planet, but for every individual arriving in the world and getting to know what goes on and how we as individuals can fit in. None of us were born great and yet there is the capacity to improve our lot as the days go by. Should you have the interest and initiative to do so then it might be worthwhile observing or even studying what has made people successful.

What are you about?

What are you about?

What are you about?  Knowing yourself is the starting point for us all. Wandering and meandering serves little purpose if the intention is to know where we are heading in a positive direction to accomplish what we’ve set our minds on.

Foremost is to determine what we would like to achieve and understand what it might take to get there. Writing goals down is a good start if there is a definite purpose. This needs to be accompanied by a written action plan and referred to on a regular basis, otherwise your ideas are in danger of falling by the wayside.

Here’s a Thought!

Here’s a Thought!

Here’s a Thought! How many thoughts a day do people have? It’s virtually impossible to say, but Deepak Chopra suggested some 60, 000. How he arrived at that number is incredible, and yet I’m willing to accept his knowledgeable assessment.

The choices we make define our outcomes because what we think about we often act on, and what we think about we become. Choosing to be positive in our thinking is to be encouraged and realising that we can only entertain one thought at a time makes sense to think positively, don’t you agree?

Be Personable

Be Personable

Be Personable. What does it mean and how effective can it be as we go along our daily path and intentionally meet and greet other people?

There are people who seemingly avoid eye contact and verbal contact these days and I don’t know if you fall into that category. What I have experienced in recent years is the attraction of the mobile phone and all its apps. These machines, in my humble opinion, are not helping mutual interaction with other people. Personalities are being stifled and there is a blockage to our much-needed association with others. So, is there a solution to what I consider to be the modern malaise? Well, everything starts with self, so what are you giving out? Are you avoiding personal contact, or would you like to meet and greet more homo sapiens as you go about your daily jaunts, whatever they may be?

Are you organised?

organised

Organised? This is an often-asked question and generally the response is a quick yes without thinking or something to which many people haven’t addressed or not even considered. Prioritising is important to be focused and stay on track. It is so easy to get side-tracked from doing what we know must be done to make progress in our lives. One method is for all things to have their place, and to perform without fail that which has been scheduled for effectiveness.

Just a Thought…

Just a Thought…

Thinking is something that comes naturally to most people whether intentional or not. I read somewhere that, “As a man thinketh, so is he!” If you’re aware of that and believe it to be true, then allow your thinking to form a pattern and reflection of what you would like to be or become. Our minds are generally filled with imagination, which is so strong that we can’t always distinguish between it and reality. Why not consider thinking yourself to whatever you want or would like to become in your lifetime? Not to what you feel that you might be entitled to, nor what you deserve or what you think you can have, but what you truly want or would like to have.
