Belief Pattern.
There is a pattern of belief that accompanies each and every one of us. I thought it appropriate in this day and age of uncertainty to raise the importance of our thinking and the effect it can have on each of us.
Not only what we think, but the way we think is an individual process and we have control of that. So, do you ever ponder on your beliefs, or do you take them for granted? Our state of mind is so important and is directional in our everyday performance at work and play.

I’ve talked before about living life on purpose and believe that it is vitally important to have a chosen path to take us on our own journey. Faith itself is an interesting word and a very good friend of mine, Peter Honzatco, many years ago suggested that it came from ‘I’ within the ‘Father’. Interesting don’t you think?
So, a positive mental attitude is required, being free of negative thoughts such as jealousy, hatred and fear. It needs to be acknowledged on a daily basis, otherwise slipping back into thoughts that weaken us will dominate and again present a challenge.
Do you know what you want? It could be beneficial to establish that first and then set about pursuing that desire. Courage is required once you have established what it is you truly want, and then setting a pattern for its achievement. Once you have a successful pattern and stick to it, the next step I believe is to acknowledge what is working for you and follow through to the completion. Sticking to your guns is an expression you may be familiar with, and it often takes Will Power to have the steadfastness to do just that.

Visualising goals being achieved is one way to keep you on track, and gratefully acknowledging your successful progress requires self-talk to keep your focus positive. Sure, you’ll not win every time, and there will be obstacles and challenges to overcome. However, a steadfastness of purpose will keep you getting back on track and your thinking pattern will guide you.
I don’t know if you pray, and if you do, then where and how? For me, it’s a case of having a belief pattern and choosing how I talk to myself. I was uplifted recently by defeating an opponent in a sport I enjoy after encouraging myself to raise my game and concentrate on effectiveness. The outcome was positive and I celebrated my victory by thanking my positive mental approach to the challenge.
None of us will win all the time, yet focus on positive outcomes is far more beneficial than doubting our ability in certain areas. Faith it till you make it is an expression I remember from the distant past, and I’m confident that what we believe and how we go about our daily lives can form a satisfying outcome to life as we know it.
Go for it! Cheers, John.
